It’s tough to pack more impactful plays into a small workload than Green Bay Packers linebacker Eric Wilson did against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon. Wilson did not even hit double-digit snaps on defense on Sunday, playing more than twice as many snaps (17) on special teams as he did defensively (8); however, he made three massive plays in those few snaps, a couple of which helped ensure that the Colts would not mount a comeback in the fourth quarter.
Wilson’s biggest play was an interception in Packers territory, but his fantastic read as the Colts ran the option on 3rd down one drive earlier helped ensure that they would not only not get the first down, but lost yardage and would not end up keeping the offense on the field for a 4th-and-short.
