When Green Bay Packers fans look back at the 2023 season years from now, they will surely do so fondly. This team went through plenty of trials and tribulations in the first half of the season, with a sputtering offense filled with first- and second-year players and a new starting quarterback. But at midseason, this group figured out how to play together, and they have been on a tear ever since.
That youth movement was perhaps best illustrated in week 18. In a game that saw one of the Packers’ two “veteran” receivers inactive (Christian Watson) and the other knocked out early (Romeo Doubs), a trio of first-year players led the way at wide receiver while an impressive rookie tight end continued his ascension.
