Packers Week 16 Inactives: Jaire Alexander & AJ Dillon return, but Jayden Reed sits

The Green Bay Packers are getting back one of their best defensive players for today’s Christmas Eve matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Cornerback Jaire Alexander has returned to the active gameday roster for today’s game after missing each of the past six games.

Alexander’s return comes on the heels of Eric Stokes’ activation from injured reserve last week, giving the team the potential to have a very different cornerback unit from the group that took the field two weeks ago. Rookie Carrington Valentine has established himself as a starter-caliber player on the boundary in the meantime and Keisean Nixon remains a top option in the slot, so the way that the Packers roll out the corners in today’s game will be fascinating to watch.
