The Green Bay Packers’ coaching staff said all week that they were going to give receiver Christian Watson until kickoff to test out the bruising he suffered on his knee against the New Orleans Saints. Apparently, Watson didn’t make as much progress as the team had hoped.
On Sunday, the Packers officially ruled out Watson, along with linebacker Quay Walker (ankle), cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee), safety Evan Williams (quad) and tackle Andre Dillard (concussion). The only healthy scratch the team made going into their matchup against the Minnesota Vikings was safety Omar Brown, who was brought up from the practice squad for the second straight week.
