Last week, Hurricane Ida hit the coast along the Gulf of Mexico, bringing another severe, damaging storm to the area around New Orleans. While area works to restore power — thankfully a majority of the city has the lights back on as of Thursday — the damage will again take significant time to sort through and to recover from.
As was the case with Hurricane Katrina 16 years ago, Ida’s wake leaves the New Orleans Saints looking for a place to play, as the New Orleans Superdome has been deemed unusable for the start of the 2021 football season.
