The Green Bay Packers exited the playoffs early this season. This offseason, they must make an important decision about the future of their defense.
Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt have fifth-year options the Packers can exercise. General manager Brian Gutekunst has noted that he wants Walker to stay in Green Bay for longer than just a couple more seasons, but The Athletic's Matt Schneidman urged the team to decline Walker's option.
"According to Over the Cap, exercising Quay Walker’s fifth-year option would guarantee his 2026 salary at a touch more than $16 million," wrote Schneidman.
