The Green Bay Packers have made their first pick of the 2021 NFL Draft and, no, it wasn’t a wide receiver. There’s a surprise.
But the Packers did address their biggest need entering the draft which was at cornerback, selecting Georgia’s Eric Stokes.
Adding some competition for Kevin King and finding a long-term starter opposite Jaire Alexander needed to be one of the team’s top priorities early in the draft, and it seems general manager Brian Gutekunst agreed.
It’s been an interesting day for the Packers.
