In search of ways to improve their pass rush, the Green Bay Packers will visit with free-agent outside linebacker Ahmad Brooks, according to the Denver Post’s Nicki Jhabvala. The team scheduled the meeting for Tuesday.
Brooks, an 11-year NFL veteran, hit the open market earlier this week after the San Francisco 49ers released him. Brooks played most of his career in the Bay Area, starting on a defense that went to three straight NFC title games and a Super Bowl earlier in the decade. Brooks’ best days appear to be behind him, but the Packers could still potentially use him in a part-time role.
