The Green Bay Packers are going to re-sign running back James Robinson back to their practice squad, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky. Robinson was previously on Green Bay’s practice squad from October 17th to November 6th, when they added current practice squad back Ellis Merriweather to the mix.
This is significant for a few reasons. First of all, running backs Aaron Jones (knee) and Emmanuel Wilson (shoulder) both were carted to the locker room in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Second of all, the team is going to play the Detroit Lions on Thursday, a game in which they might only have one healthy running back on their 53-man roster.
