The Green Bay Packers are losing defensive tackle TJ Slaton to the Cincinnati Bengals, who have agreed to sign the 2021 fifth-round pick to a two-year deal worth $15.1 million overall in free agency, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Slaton (6-4, 330) played in all 68 games for the Packers over the last four seasons. He produced 134 tackles, 2.0 sacks, six tackles for loss, four batted passes and seven quarterback hits while operating mostly as a run-stuffing block eater for the Packers defensive line.
Slaton played over 1,000 snaps on defense for the Packers over the last two seasons, but his snap count did drop to 39 percent -- down from 56 percent in 2023 -- under first-year defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley in 2024.
