Green Bay chose Washington CB Kevin King with the first pick of the second round, No. 33 overall, a pick the Packers obtained by trading back four spots on Thursday night from their original position.
At 6-3, 200, King is a rare combination of size and speed at cornerback. He clocked a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash at the combine, and he’s the sixth corner to be selected in the draft, following five taken in the first round on Thursday night.
King is the third defensive back in the last four years that the Packers have drafted in the first round, following safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in 2014 and cornerback Damarious Randall in 2015.
