Los Angeles (AFP) - Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion was hit with a four-game suspension on Tuesday after violating league rules on performance-enhancing drugs, the NFL confirmed.
Guion, 29, will miss the first four games of the 2017 season as a result of the infraction.
Details of the offence were not immediately available but it is the second time Guion has faced a suspension in his career.
He was suspended for three games in 2015 after being caught in possession of marijuana and a firearm.
Guion started 15 games for the Packers last year, helping Green Bay advance to the National Football Conference Championship game where they were beaten by the Atlanta Falcons.
