The Packers’ defense began the second half with a three-and-out, and the offense got moving right away. QB Joe Callahan scrambled for 9 yards to convert on third-and-6, and then he found rookie WR Geronimo Allison for 18 yards over the middle.
Allison then drew a pass interference penalty on the Raiders for another first down, and Callahan neatly scrambled out of trouble and found RB John Crockett for 12 yards to the Oakland 23. Another scrambling completion, this one to TE Kennard Backman, gained 8 yards and made it first-and-goal on the 10.
