GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Whatever boost, if any, tight end Andrew Quarless could give to the Green Bay Packers' struggling offense may have to wait at least another week.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Sunday that Quarless still is not ready to come off the injured reserve/designated to return list. In fact, Quarless is not even at the point where he's able to practice yet.
“He will not practice today; he won’t be activated today,” McCarthy said. “But maybe this week. That’s kind of where we are.”
Quarless, who sustained a sprained MCL in his left knee in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs, was eligible to return to practice three weeks ago and could have played last Thursday against the Chicago Bears, per the temporary IR rules.
