This very same time last year, Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst was pondering how to add Khalil Mack to his team. Even at this late stage of the preseason, he was trying to put the Packers over and make them a Super Bowl contender.
A year later, there isn't a Mack-type player out there (unless you believe Jadeveon Clowney will really be traded in the next day or two) and no one likely to be as impactful, but Gutekunst is still looking to build the best roster he can by adding the top talent available.
The Packers released running back Darrin Hall on Saturday and it was reported by ESPN's Rob Demovsky that Gutekunst was looking for a trade partner that would allow him to add a running back to the roster.
