Green Bay — When D.J. Swearinger found himself alone in the open field against tailback James Starks on Sunday, the hard-hitting safety for the Arizona Cardinals remembered a trend he saw on film during the week.
As shifty and elusive as Starks may be, he always seemed to carry the ball in his right hand, according to Swearinger, which made for something of sitting target. Charles Woodson of the Oakland Raiders noticed it and slammed his shoulder into Starks' right side seven days earlier. Now, Swearinger tried to do the same as he barreled into a collision on the first play of the second half.
