Packers' special teams struggle against Eagles

Green Bay — There's no way to calculate exactly how many victories the special teams cost the Green Bay Packers last season.

Most people just think of one.

The fact that one was the NFC Championship Game in Seattle made the performance Saturday night in a meaningless exhibition game against the Philadelphia Eagles seem even more disturbing.

Eight penalties, a 67-yard return allowed on the opening kickoff, a 37.8-yard net punting average, a punt nearly blocked, a fumble, a dropped interception on a 2-point conversion and a punt return with 10 men on the field all were special teams lowlights in the 39-26 drubbing at the hands of the Eagles.
