If you are a Green Bay Packers player who has a roster spot locked up, you aren’t playing in tonight’s preseason game against the Denver Broncos. The Packer shave decided to keep 31 different players on the sidelines for tonight’s game, and all but four or five of those players are sitting for precautionary reasons.
Indeed, at least 17 of this group of 31 are expected to be primary starters on this team in week one, with several other key rotational players sitting as well. In fact, nearly every key member of the team’s offensive playmaker group is getting the night off, despite the Broncos electing to give many of their starters some playing time this evening.
