GREEN BAY — Even with two healthy quarterbacks entering Sunday’s playoff opener at Philadelphia, the Green Bay Packers are leaving nothing to chance at the game’s most important position.
The Packers signed Sean Clifford to their active roster, elevating him from the practice squad. Clifford, a fifth-round pick last year, provides insurance as an emergency third quarterback.
It’s unlikely the Packers will need Clifford in their NFC wild-card matchup against the Eagles.
