Just before they took the field for practice on Thursday to close out their mandatory minicamp, the Green Bay Packers announced a few roster transactions.
The first move we'll address was the release of cornerback Travis Manning. The undrafted rookie from Northwest Missouri State spent just under a month on the roster, as he was signed on May 21st. Though his release took the Packers down to 88 players on the roster, they just added a single new player to take them up to 89.
That player is tight end Harold Spears, also an undrafted free agent.
