The Green Bay Packers don’t rush to sign their draft picks, but they moved one step closer to getting their entire rookie class under contract. On Wednesday, the team officially signed fourth-round pick Vince Biegel to his first NFL contract.
Biegel, the Packers’ fourth-round pick this past April, agreed to his deal while recovering from surgery performed on his foot. The pass-rusher injured himself during the team’s rookie minicamp earlier in May and could potentially miss portions of training camp. Foot issues affect Biegel during his college career as well. Still, Biegel expects to contribute to Green Bay’s pass rush in a significant way during his rookie season.
