A year ago Bashaud Breeland was one of the top cornerbacks set to hit free agency. Despite being reportedly interested in signing him, the Packers missed out and Breeland instead signed a three-year deal with the Carolina Panthers.
But after failing a physical, the deal to the Panthers was void. In September the Panthers’ loss became the Packers’ gain as Green Bay signed the talented cornerback to a one-year deal.
And as expected, when healthy Breeland helped improve the Packers’ secondary. Along with rookie Jaire Alexander, Green Bay had a talented starting duo at cornerback, something the team desperately needed after 2017.
