Brian Gutekunst’s approach to free agency this offseason has been to make low-risk, affordable moves at positions of need.
So far, they’ve addressed three positions of need signing linebacker Christian Kirksey, tackle Ricky Wagner and wide receiver Devin Funchess.
Kirksey and Wagner both signed team-friendly deals. Details of wide receiver Funchess’ contract haven’t been released yet but we can safely assume it’ll be another low cap number for the Packers.
There are still concerns at many positions across the roster but the Packers won’t be able to address them all in the draft. Gutekunst will need to continue to look for affordable moves in free agency that can help ensure the team has depth at key positions.
