Trevor Davis may only have eight regular-season catches to his name in three seasons, but that could all change in Matt LaFleur’s offense. And Davis has done more than enough this summer to deserve a place on the Green Bay Packers roster.
In his first preseason game of the year after returning from injury, Davis dominated, catching five passes for 78 yards and a touchdown. He led the team in each category. Davis also showed how Matt LaFleur could use him out of the backfield with an 18-yard rush.
But what makes Davis so valuable isn’t just his potential as a receiver in LaFleur’s offense, but also his contributions on special teams.
