With its third draft choice in round six, the Green Bay Packers moved to bolster their offensive tackle position with the selection of Indiana’s Simon Stepaniak at pick 209.
The 6’4, 313-pound Stepaniak made three picks spent on the offensive line for the Packers in round six, joining guard Jon Runyan Jr. and center Jake Hanson. The former Hoosier started 20 games over his career in the Big Ten at both guard and tackle spots. With plenty of inexperience at tackle behind David Bakhtiari and Rick Wagner, Stepaniak should have ripe opportunity to compete for a valuable utility role in green Bay.
