GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Packers like to celebrate touchdowns on the field. Tuesday, the Packers and Sargento Foods celebrated Touchdowns for Hunger in Wisconsin.
Packers president/CEO Mark Murphy joined Sargento Foods CEO Louie Gentine joined their employees to sort and repackage food at Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay.
For the past 22 NFL seasons, for every touchdown the Packers scored, $2,000 was donated to Paul’s Pantry and to the Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee to help Wisconsin families put food on the table.
Last season, including the postseason, the Packers scored 51 touchdowns, bringing the total donations to $1.
