Last week, the Green Bay Packers kept one of their two defensive secondary coaches in town. Following the reported hiring of Mike Pettine as defensive coordinator, former cornerbacks coach Joe Whitt, Jr. was given a promotion and the title of defensive passing game coordinator.
His compatriot in the secondary still has yet to find a new job, however.
That is of course safeties coach Darren Perry, who interviewed for the Packers’ DC job prior to Pettine’s hiring. Perry has also interviewed for some other jobs, but at least one of those other positions has now been filled.
