GREEN BAY – For two games now, the Green Bay Packers run defense has looked better with Eric Wilson at middle linebacker than Quay Walker, who didn’t play because of a concussion.
The Packers’ run-defense numbers were better this week than last — the Jacksonville Jaguars rushed for 91 yards on 23 carries, a manageable 4.0-yards per rush. But more than that, it looked better from the linebacker position because, even though Wilson lacks size for the position at 230 pounds, he plays more downhill against the run than Walker does.
