The middle of the week arrives with the Green Bay Packers’ rookies arriving for training camp, with veterans to follow this weekend. Two members of this year’s rookie class were day-two draft picks at linebacker, and both of those players are expected to have an impact early on in their debut seasons as the Packers look to continue improving the overall speed and athleticism at the position.
This offseason, the Packers moved on from De’Vondre Campbell, a player they picked up off the scrap heap in June 2021. Campbell made a massive impact in his first season with Green Bay, earning first-team All-Pro honors, but by the end of 2023 he was an athletic liability in the middle of the Packers’ defense.
