The Green Bay Packers added four void years onto the contract of offensive tackle Yosh Nijman last Saturday to create a little over $2.5 million in salary cap space, according to Field Yates of ESPN.
Nijman, now a backup offensive tackle for the Packers, was set to count $4.3 million on the cap for the Packers in 2023 before the restructure. He signed a one-year restricted tender this offseason to return to Green Bay.
The four void years added on to his one-year deal allow the Packers to spread out a conversion of base salary to signing bonus over five years on the cap.
