On Saturday afternoon, the Green Bay Packers continued to churn the bottom of the team’s roster. Jawill Davis is the latest casualty, as the team announced that they have released the wide receiver and return specialist.
Davis appeared in Thursday’s preseason opener against the Houston Texans, contributing his only stats as a return man. He finished the game with a single kickoff return for 24 yards, suiting up for seven snaps on offense and three on special teams. Davis rotated with Teo Redding on kickoff returns, his primary position a year ago for the New York Giants.
