The Green Bay Packers released seventh round draft pick OLB Kendall Donnerson as they continue to trim the roster from 90 players down to 53 by this afternoon, according to Tom Silverstein.
Donnerson was the 248th pick in April’s draft out of Southeast Missouri State. Clearly as a seventh rounder he was not expected to compete for a starting job but it was hoped he would provide some depth at position that is relatively thin in the Green Bay roster.
He made a quick impression with a fumble recovery in the preseason opener against the Tennessee Titans, but didn’t show much after that.
