The Green Bay Packers appeared on today's NFL transaction wire on Monday, as they have opened up a spot on their roster the day before they are slated to take the field for mandatory minicamp.
The team has waived offensive guard Marcus Reed, an undrafted rookie from Fayetteville State. Reed was one of the largest players on the Packers roster, listed at 6 feet 3 inches and 345 pounds. Reed originally signed with the Packers immediately following the 2015 NFL Draft.
The move leaves Matt Rotheram from the University of Pittsburgh as the only undrafted rookie listed at the guard position.
