File this one in the “what did they expect?” folder. Two days after the Green Bay Packers claimed tight end Michael Roberts on waivers from the Detroit Lions, he is back on the waiver wire.
According to Field Yates of ESPN, Roberts failed his physical upon arriving in Green Bay, leading to his release. The situation should come as little surprise to anyone who has been following Roberts’ movements over the past week, however. The Lions originally had a deal in place to trade Roberts to the New England Patriots, but he failed his physical in Foxboro, voiding the trade.
