Packers release LB Antonio Morrison, retain TE Robert Tonyan

The Packers released linebacker Antonio Morrison, according to ESPN's Field Yates. He was acquired in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts last August in exchange for cornerback Lenzy Pipkins.

Morrison never stood out as an impactful linebacker, but his "psychotic" play -- as some would characterize it -- made him a desirable candidate to assist the Packers in run support. He wasn't set to be a free agent, however, the Packers opted to pocket the $2.
