The Green Bay Packers released first-year defensive tackle Leonard Payne from the 90-man offseason roster following the 2025 NFL draft, the team announced Monday.
The Packers originally signed Payne (6-3, 301) to a reserve/future contract on Jan. 15.
General manager Brian Gutekunst might be making room for the undrafted rookie class, which hasn't been officially announced. The team is also reportedly signing veteran linebacker Isaiah Simmons on Monday.
The Packers began the in-person offseason workout program on Monday.
Payne played four seasons at Fresno State (2018-22) before spending his final collegiate season at Colorado in 2023.
