ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news on Tuesday that the Green Bay Packers would be signing kicker Brandon McManus following a successful workout with the team. This, obviously, signaled the end for Green Bay’s kicker to start the 2024 regular season, Brayden Narveson, who went 8 of 13 on field goals of at least 30 yards this year.
On Wednesday, before the team took the practice field for the first time in preparation for the Houston Texans, the Packers officially announced that the team released Narveson from the 53-man roster, which Green Bay needed to do to make room for the addition of McManus.
