ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Monday that the Green Bay Packers will be re-signing linebacker Isaiah McDuffie to a two-year, $8 million contract. According to Fowler, there are escalators in McDuffie’s new deal that can take the total value to $9.5 million. At the moment, those exact details haven’t been released.
McDuffie is expected to be the third linebacker next to Quay Walker, the starting middle linebacker, and Edgerrin Cooper, who broke out in the second half of his rookie season last year. Before the signing, the only linebackers who remained under contract from the Packers’ 2024 53-man roster were Walker, Cooper and 2024 third-round pick Ty’Ron Hopper.
