According to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writer Tom Silverstein, Green Bay Packers rookie third-round pick MarShawn Lloyd told a group of reporters after the Packers’ preseason opener versus the Cleveland Browns that he’s been “pushing through a hamstring issue” during training camp. Lloyd was only able to register one carry, which went for eight yards, before dropping out of action on Saturday with a hamstring injury.
There were high hopes for Lloyd coming into his rookie season, especially after former Alabama head coach Nick Saban said that the USC product was the second-best running back in the class on draft day, but that hasn’t been able to translate yet in Green Bay.
