GREEN BAY, Wis. -- After discussing it for several years, the Green Bay Packers have officially joined the ranks of NFL teams offering variable ticket pricing.
The club made the announcement Thursday, significantly dropping the price of tickets to preseason games while increasing the cost of tickets to regular-season games as part of an overall ticket-price increase -- the seventh straight year that the team has raised prices.
The variable pricing isn't as significant a change for the Packers as it might be for other teams, since their games are annually sold out on a season-ticket basis and they have over 100,000 names on their season-ticket waiting list.
