Last spring and summer, the expectations for the Green Bay Packers heading into the 2024 season seemed to be going through the roof.
The team had just come within minutes of advancing to the NFC Championship Game in Jordan Love's first season as their starting quarterback. Had it not been for an excellent second-half performance by San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy in that divisional round loss, the Packers would've likely ended up playing for a spot in Super Bowl LVIII.
They became the darlings of the national media, who pegged Love as the NFL's next elite signal-caller and were high on their four young wide receivers.
