Where the hell did this come from?
Well, that’s a good question.
Goode apparently suffered a knee injury in the Packers’ win over Oakland.
It’s curious that the Packers waited until Tuesday to make the move, though. They put receiver Ty Montgomery on injured reserve on Monday in order to activate God’s Gifts. So, in theory, they could have gone on pretending Montgomery was going to play again this season for a few more weeks and put Goode on IR in order to activate Gifts.
But whatever.
The Packers also signed long snapper Rick Lovato to take Goode’s roster spot.
