Packers President Mark Murphy named in Northwestern players' lawsuits

GREEN BAY – Green Bay Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy was named in two lawsuits filed Thursday in the Northwestern University hazing scandal.

ESPN reported that two anonymous players who were at Northwestern from 2004 to 2008 filed suits on Thursday, naming the university, former football coach Pat Fitzgerald, former university president Henry Bienen, Murphy and the school's board of trustees as defendants. Murphy was athletic director from 2003 to 2007. He hired Fitzgerald as head football coach in 2006. Murphy joined the Packers at the beginning of 2008.

All together, four lawsuits were filed Thursday.
