Packers practice news and notes, 7/23: Pass rush dominates in downpour

It’s only the second day of training camp, but the Green Bay Packers’ defensive line has a clear edge over the Packers’ offensive line right now. Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur said as much in his pre-practice presser today, and the dominance only continued on Tuesday.

While the practices aren’t even padded yet, penetration plays have been as advertised under defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. Let’s just hope this is a sign of the defensive line’s strength and not the offensive line’s weakness.

And, no, quarterback Jordan Love doesn’t have a deal yet. For the second straight day, Love has participated in meetings with the team but will not put on a helmet until he and his representation agree to a new extension with the Packers.
