Training camp practice began for the Green Bay Packers today and quarterback Jordan Love did not put a helmet on. In his pre-practice press conference on Monday, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst claimed that Love’s camp told the team on Saturday that Love would not be practicing until he has a new contract extension in place. Gutekunst reiterated that both sides want the same thing, for Love to play for Green Bay long-term, and that he believes that a deal could be finalized over the next few days.
As head coach Matt LaFleur mentioned, though, Love is in Packers camp.
