For the second time in as many weeks, Green Bay Packers defensive end Preston Smith has been rumored to draw trade interest as the league slowly approaches the trade deadline of November 5th. Last week, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Smith and Green Bay reserve tackle Andre Dillard were “generating interest” ahead of Week 7’s Sunday slate.
This report has been backed up by the Athletic’s Dianna Russini, who stated on Saturday that Smith is indeed drawing “some interest before the deadline.” She claimed that the Las Vegas Raiders’ Maxx Crosby and Cleveland Browns’ Myles Garrett “aren’t for sale” but that Smith, the Carolina Panthers’ Jadeveon Clowney and former Packer Za’Darius Smith could be on the move.
