When it rains, it pours. It is indeed pouring on the Green Bay Packers at the offensive tackle position this season.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Packers announced that offensive tackle Kyle Murphy has been placed on injured reserve with a foot injury. Murphy started and played every snap of the team’s first three games this season, playing right tackle in the opener against Seattle and left tackle in weeks two and three. Murphy now joins Jason Spriggs, his fellow 2016 draft pick, on IR, as the Packers’ top two backups at the position are on the shelf for the foreseeable future.
