With the Green Bay Packers’ players now arriving for training camp, the team has its first roster player landing on the COVID-19 injury list. Outside linebacker Greg Roberts, who signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2019, has officially been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Teams placing players on this list do not need to reveal whether players themselves tested positive for COVID-19 or if they have been in contact with people who did. Thus, Roberts’ own medical status is not clear.
Roberts heads into 2020 camp with an opportunity to fight for the fourth outside linebacker job behind starters Za’Darius and Preston Smith and key backup Rashan Gary.
