Packers place Jaire Alexander on IR, elevate 2024 draft pick

On Saturday, the Green Bay Packers officially shut down cornerback Jaire Alexander. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Alexander underwent arthroscopic surgery to fix a swelling issue that he’s had since injuring his PCL in Week 11 against the Chicago Bears. According to reports by the likes of ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Alexander could return to the Packers by the Super Bowl, if the team can make it that far without him.

Without the former All-Pro, expect to see a lot of Carrington Valentine and Eric Stokes at outside cornerback to end the season.
