Tight end and exclusive rights free agent Robert Tonyan will be back with the team on a one-year deal for 2019, according to the league transaction wire. They re-signed wide receiver Jake Kumerow on Sunday as well.
Tonyan, 24, was signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana State in 2017 but didn't make the opening-day roster out of training camp.
The Packers acquired Tonyan during the regular season and he spent the final month on their roster. Tonyan was eventually one of five players to ink a futures deal with the Packers at the conclusion of the season, ensuring he'll be on the roster for 2018.
